International Hazardous Materials Response Teams Conference

May 18-21, 2011
Baltimore, MD

Held each spring, the IAFC's Hazmat Conference provides the latest classroom, hands-on and field trip-based training on what's new in hazmat, covering all aspects of hazmat, including transportation, safety, WMD, gear, terrorism, mass decontamination, bioterrorism and more. The hazmat exhibit floor includes outdoor demonstrations of hazardous materials gear and equipment.

HSEM has funds available from the HMEP Program for any fire department to send members of their department who have an interest in Haz-Mat to the IAFC Haz-mat Conference. The funding will pay for the conference tuition, travel expenses (air, hotel, per diem) wage at straight time only, no overtime or back fill costs.

This is a great opportunity to send one or more firefighters to the IAFC Haz-mat conference, deadline to apply with HSEM for the HMEP grant funds is April 30, 2011.

Call Kevin Reed (651-201-7425) at HSEM for more information.

Thank you
