A bill for an act relating to taxation; individual income; creating a subtraction for voluntary
firefighter pensions;amending Minnesota Statutes 2006, section 290.091,
subdivision 2; Minnesota Statutes 2007 Supplement, section 290.01, subdivision
19b.

; and
4.10 (17) to the extent included in federal taxable income, compensation received from
4.11 a political subdivision as a pension or other retirement pay by a volunteer firefighter or
4.12 volunteer emergency medical service provider.
4.13 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective for taxable years beginning after
4.14 December 31, 2007.
